Started an instant messaging app with friends from uni and under mentorship of their communications professor.
The pandemic put a break into plans leading Felix' friends from uni wanting to finish their degrees rather than working on a startup. Felix found it was time for him and so dropped out. He later came to see messaging become too competitive and the learning curve for teaching people better ways to communicate was too hard. He needed a pivot.
Coming to talk with a professional workplace communications trainer, somebody already established in the field Felix pitched his ideas for a digital corporate communications training program based on communications theory. Together they developed the first protoype. After some time it became clear he needed help. He hired a friend as a designer and Sarah who later became his co-founder.
Having followed is ongoing quest of finding better and more legitimate and proven ways of improving communication than found by dubious online he came in contact with the science of conversation. Felix read a book of one of the world's most renowned researchers and contacted the author. Schooling him on the possibilities of making use of the science in the venture after being denied he being cofounder led to Sarah who wanted to get out in the practical field away from just academics, anyways. Together they developed and tested prototypes while never having met in real life only depending on meeting infrastructure. While Felix moved to Estonia, Sarah was in Sydney and Iga in London. Meetings were tough..
With the rise of generative AI they came to see the possibilities of integrating the new technolgy; pivoting to analyze live conversation and respond back to the speaker - assisting live rather than training beforehand. This showcased a shift in use of machine learning for training personalisation towards a utility, a realtime tool. Coincidentally, having had difficulties finding the ideal customer and experienced difficulties in meetings many times they decided to pivot again and focus on workplace meetings.
Now, Got It is piloting with local and global companies here in Estonia, Europe's no. 1 place for startups and unicorns.
